KUALA LUMPUR – The country is inching closer to its 90% target of fully vaccinated adults with 89.7% jabbed as of 11.59pm yesterday.
Based on data from the CovidNow website, 21,003,074 individuals have been fully vaccinated, leaving 0.3% more to go as Malaysia mulls lifting the ban on interstate and international travel.
The data also showed that 94.7% or 22,176,018 adults have received at least one dose.
Yesterday, Malaysia dished out 83,443 doses to adults, of which 8,236 are first doses while 75,207 are second jabs.
In total, the vaccination programme has given 43,067,793 jabs since February 24.

As for adolescents aged 12-17, 204,536 (6.5%) have completed their vaccination while 2,248,867 (71.5%) have gotten at least a single dose.
On September 22, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that interstate travel would be allowed once 90% of the adult population had been fully vaccinated. – The Vibes, October 10, 2021
